FIGURES FOR THE NUMBER OF FOOD PARCELS PROVIDED BY SLOUGH FOODBANK DURING 1 – 31 December 2021, COMPARED WITH THE SAME PERIOD IN 2020.
Total number of food parcels: 924, a 62% increase
Number of adults: 538, a 42% increase
Number of children: 386, a 101% increase
It is deeply sad to see that the number of people needing an emergency food parcel due to food poverty crisis is continuing to increase. In particular the number of children receiving food parcels has increased by 100% indicating the number of families who faced hardship over the Christmas season.
