FIGURES FOR THE NUMBER OF FOOD PARCELS PROVIDED BY SLOUGH FOODBANK DURING 1 – 28 February 2022, COMPARED WITH THE SAME PERIOD IN 2021.
Total number of food parcels: 663, a 15% increase
Number of adults: 405, a 2% increase
Number of children: 258, a 41% increase
The large increase in the number of children we are seeing indicates the huge pressure families are facing as the cost of living continues to increase. It is not right that people are facing food poverty crisis and having to use foodbanks to feed their families.
