FIGURES FOR THE NUMBER OF FOOD PARCELS PROVIDED BY SLOUGH FOODBANK DURING 1 – 30 April 2022, COMPARED WITH THE SAME PERIOD IN 2021.
Total number of food parcels: 709, a 25% increase
Number of adults: 445, a 12% increase
Number of children: 264, a 57% increase
These figures once again show the real life impact the cost of living crisis is having. Huge increase in demand versus 2021, which was already significantly higher than pre-pandemic numbers. The people of Slough continue to face tough decisions, pay their bills or skip meals. This is not right – we continue to campaign for a #HungerFreeFuture.
