The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Fourteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year 1,9 million three-day emergency food supplies were distributed to people in crisis.
Slough is in Tier 4 so please don’t break the rules by coming out to donate to Slough Foodbank.
Rest assured we have plentiful supplies thanks to very generous pre-Christmas donations. Our warehouse will be closed for the whole of January to protect our volunteers working to sort the stock from December. We cannot risk anyone in the warehouse team bubble being infected and causing us to close completely.
Please do not bring food donations direct to our warehouse as we are unable to accept them.
You can still make donations through the supermarket collection points, if you buy the donations from the supermarket.
The government guidance is as follows:
Being in tier 4 means: Residents must stay at home and only travel for work, essential supplies and medical necessity.
