One of the Foodbank’s referral agencies, Radian has kindly loaned us their van for six months. Due to the impact of Covid-19, client numbers have increased significantly and clients needs have changed. The loan of the van means we can more easily move the extra supplies we need from the permanent collection points in supermarkets, to the warehouse and to distribution centres.
In addition it has made it possible – in extreme circumstances – for us to deliver food parcels to clients at home who are self-isolating and have no other support.
Slough Foodbank Manager, Sue Sibany-King commented:“Radian have supported us in many ways – with funds for our Fuelbank initiative, loan of their Wellbeing van and funds for emergency food supplies. Importantly Radian is one of our referral agencies and we are very happy to have this relationship whereby we can support those in need, identified to us by Radian. Our huge thanks go to Radian.”
