Laura Cole appointed as Slough Foodbank Manager

15th June 2022

The Trustees of Slough Foodbank are pleased to welcome Laura Cole as Foodbank Manager. Laura brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in the charity sector for 8 years, first for Home-Start Runnymede & Woking as a Volunteer Coordinator and most recently for the Whiteley Homes Trust as Head of Community.

Becks Ford, Communications Officer and Trustee commented:

“The Foodbank Manager has overall responsibility for the operation of the foodbank, ensuring that we are able to meet the needs of clients facing food poverty crisis. It is a pivotal role with wide-ranging responsibilities and reporting to the Trustees. After a thorough recruitment process, we are delighted that Laura has accepted the position. Laura will lead the foodbank through great teamwork, keeping our primary focus at the heart of all we do.

Laura will have a hand-over period with Sue Sibany-King, who after 10 years at Slough Foodbank is retiring at the end of June. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sue for her dedication – she will be missed.”

Laura Cole – Slough Foodbank Manager commented:

“I am delighted to be joining Slough Foodbank at what continues to be a challenging time. I know I have a huge act to follow with Sue leaving and I look forward to getting to know the staff, trustees and volunteers and working with them to meet the needs of those living in Slough and the surrounding areas.”
