MONTHLY STATS JUNE– 36% INCREASE IN FOOD PARCELS

8th July 2022

FIGURES FOR THE NUMBER OF FOOD PARCELS PROVIDED BY SLOUGH FOODBANK DURING 1 – 30 JUNE 2022, COMPARED WITH THE SAME PERIOD IN 2021.

Total number of food parcels: 742, a 36% increase

Number of adults: 449, a 25% increase

Number of children: 293, a 57% increase

Shocking figures once again – don’t get immune to these increases. Foodbanks should not have to exist, families should not need to rely on food parcels to feed their children. The ongoing impact of the cost of living crisis is real and affecting people in our community right now. Families are being hit hard and parents in Slough continue to face tough decisions, pay their bills or skip meals. This is not right – we continue to campaign for a #HungerFreeFuture.
