Shocking stats once again. The rise in the number of people in emergency food poverty crisis continues. 21% increase in the number of food parcels provided versus the same 6 months in 2021. It’s clear from these stats, that for some the cost of living crisis is actually a cost of surviving crisis. Families are being hit hard with a 37% increase in the number of children being fed.
This means that we need more food and toiletries to meet the demands and this puts pressure on our wonderful supporters and volunteers, who are often themselves being hit hard by the rising costs themselves.
