FIGURES FOR THE NUMBER OF FOOD PARCELS PROVIDED BY SLOUGH FOODBANK DURING 1 – 31 July 2022, COMPARED WITH THE SAME PERIOD IN 2021.
Total number of food parcels: 573, a 11% increase
Number of adults: 373, a 12% increase
Number of children: 200, a 11% increase
Yet another month of increased figures versus last year – this depressing trend continues. 573 food parcels provided for people facing food poverty crisis in July. Foodbanks should not have to exist, families should not need to rely on food parcels to feed their children. The ongoing impact of the cost of living crisis is real and affecting people in our community right now. For some this is a cost of surviving crisis.
