FIGURES FOR THE NUMBER OF FOOD PARCELS PROVIDED BY SLOUGH FOODBANK DURING 1 – 31 August 2022, COMPARED WITH THE SAME PERIOD IN 2021.
Total number of food parcels: 619, a 42% increase
Number of adults: 403, a 44% increase
Number of children: 216, a 38% increase
Yet another month of increased figures versus last year – despite the first cost of living payment being made. Throughout the school summer holidays, families continued to experience food poverty crisis and relied on emergency food parcels. The ongoing impact of the cost of living crisis is real and affecting people in our community right now.
