FIGURES FOR THE NUMBER OF FOOD PARCELS PROVIDED BY SLOUGH FOODBANK DURING 1 – 30 September 2022, COMPARED WITH THE SAME PERIOD IN 2021.
Total number of food parcels: 888 a 66% increase
Number of adults: 569 a 69% increase
Number of children: 319 a 64% increase
Yet another month of increased figures versus last year and this was up on the 619 food parcels we provided in August 2022.
Slough Foodbank Manager, Laura Cole commented: “We are seeing an increase in first time users of Slough Foodbank which shows us that people who were already struggling financially are being pushed over the edge and now facing the real predicament of food poverty crisis. With this increased demand for our services comes an increased requirement in food donations – if you can, please do support Slough Foodbank by donating tinned and long-life food.”
