FIGURES FOR THE NUMBER OF FOOD PARCELS PROVIDED BY SLOUGH FOODBANK DURING 1 – 30 SEPTEMBER 2024, COMPARED WITH THE SAME PERIOD IN SEPTEMBER 2023
Total number of food parcels: 1013, a 26% increase
Number of adults: 652, a 14% increase
Number of children: 361, a 54% increase
Yet again another month where the increase continues. This isn’t right. People should be able to afford the essentials, rather than being left with no option but to turn to a food bank because Universal Credit is falling short.
