We offer help beyond a food parcel. Find out more about additional services and support.
During the current Coronavirus crisis, we are unable to meet with people and discuss their circumstances or point them to areas of help. We are still giving food parcels to those in food poverty.
We are not able to help people who are unable to access food due the current shortages in the supermarkets or self isolation. We suggest that you contact Slough Borough Council Covid19 Community response Group. There are also many community groups setting offering help via social media.
Further information on getting help during the Coronavirus crisis is available.
Our foodbank is running a More Than Food programme. This means that we are providing additional support alongside emergency food, to help people address the underlying issues behind their crisis.
Our foodbank has specifically trained volunteers who can offer you additional help in the following areas:
- Signposting to other local and national support agencies for specific help with the issues that have driven you to Slough Foodbank
- Slough Foodbank’s Fuelbank project provides pre-paid vouchers for either gas or electricity for our clients who are unable to cook the food we provide, or heat their homes, due to lack of money to cover home energy supplies. This is a one-off emergency top up.
